ANNOUNCING: WGBA 2012 Education RFP

WGBA Education sessions will be designed to showcase the rich heritage of sustainability practiced by corporations and professionals throughout WI .

Have an idea for a webinar? Become a WGBA subject matter expert and make a USGBC approved webinar with WGBA! Tired of watching the same webinars for your credential maintenance? How about watching webinars made by Wisconsin regional green building and design professionals? For the first time, WGBA is issuing an official Request for Proposal (RFP) for Wisconsin green building and design practitioners in the form of prepared courses that will be submitted to USGBC for approval. Approved courses will be developed into webinars that showcase Wisconsin's rich heritage of green building and design tradition through regional modern day practitioners.

If you are knowledgeable, passionate, and a subject matter expert in the field of sustainable building and design in Wisconsin and are interested in developing a session or course, or want to develop a course for others to present, or simply have a course idea, please submit an application for  consideration by March 31, 2012.

As an approved USGBC Education Provider, WGBA will submit all education programs selected for approval, for GBCI CE Hours through USGBC's Education Review Program. In order to meet the requirements to be approved for GBCI CE Hours, each program proposal must include education content for at least 90 minutes, consist of one to four speakers/panelists, provide interactivity with the session participants through Q and A, and ideally be located in a venue that demonstrates green characteristics that are important in the region. A LEED rating system focus has the opportunity to fulfill LEED specific CEU's.

The Education RFP application can be found here. A one- time $50 application fee is required with each proposal. Email completed proposals to rfp@wgba.org by March 31st.
